    Avolta is set to elevate the fashion offering for travelers at Sweden’s largest airport, having secured a six-year contract to operate & Other Stories at Stockholm Arlanda Airport. The contract marks the first time the Swedish brand – part of H&M Group – will open at an airport anywhere in the world, rendering the win even more significant for both Avolta and Stockholm Arlanda Airport.

    Official Opening for refurbished World Duty Free store at Edinburgh Airport

    Following the completion of the full refurbishment of its World Duty Free store in Edinburgh airport, representatives of Avolta and the Edinburgh airport team met today to officially launch the new store. Avolta successfully extended its duty-free contract at Edinburgh airport in March of this year. As part of that contract renewal Avolta committed to expand the retail space by a further 30% to 1,740sqm, and introduce several exciting new features and digital elements.

    Avolta leverages regional economic slow-down to fast-track APAC strategy: enters into deal to acquire Free Duty, funded by cash on balance sheet with no impact to the deleveraging commitments

    Avolta (AVOL: SIX), leading global travel experience player across retail and F&B, has entered into a deal to acquire 100% of Free Duty from NWS Holdings Limited (0659. HK), a conglomerate with a diversified portfolio of market-leading businesses predominantly in Hong Kong and the Mainland. The deal would see Avolta’s positioning significantly strengthened in the Asia Pacific (APAC) region, gaining access to 150 million travelers and increasing regional sales by CHF 250 million. The acquisition of Free Duty, a leading border travel retail operator in Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area, would lead towards an early delivery of Avolta’s Destination 2027 strategy in APAC, generating accelerated revenue growth at attractive margins. The closing of the transaction is subject to customary conditions precedent.

    Avolta prices EUR 400 million of Senior Notes

    Avolta (SIX: AVOL) today priced EUR-denominated senior notes in an aggregate amount of EUR 400 million. The senior notes will have a term of seven years due in 2033. The annual interest rate will be 4.625% and interest will be payable semi-annually in arrears. Proceeds from the offering are expected to be used to refinance a portion of Avolta’s outstanding EUR 750 million Senior Notes due 2027.
