    Avolta actively growing in APAC: secures new duty-free contract at Kualanamu International Airport in Medan, Indonesia

    Avolta AG (SIX: AVOL), leading global travel experience player, increases its footprint in Asia-Pacific, securing a new duty-free contract for two stores at Kualanamu International Airport*, serving the city of Medan and North Sumatra. Operating in Indonesia for more than ten years and with nearly 50 stores, this contract marks Avolta’s third location in Indonesia – the largest economy in Southeast Asia and the world’s fourth most populous nation** – and first for Medan, joining existing outlets at Indonesia’s two main international airports; Jakarta’s Soekarno–Hatta International Airport and Bali’s I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport.

    Avolta prices EUR 500 million of senior notes

    Avolta today priced an offering of EUR 500 million aggregate principal amount of 4.750% Senior Notes due 2031 (the “Notes”). Interest will be payable semi-annually in arrears. Proceeds from the offering are expected to be used to refinance a portion of Avolta’s outstanding Senior Notes due 2024.

    Avolta strengthens its presence in the China market with the opening of four new travel convenience and one new F&B store at Shanghai Pudong Airport. The installation of four new Hudson stores and the addition of a new Wolfgang Puck Kitchen + Bar at the airport, ranked as one of the busiest in China, is another way that Avolta is working to make travelers happier. With over 54 million passengers in 2023, Shanghai Pudong Airport is a major aviation hub of East Asia, an important element of Avolta’s APAC portfolio and commitment to expanding in the region.

    Today Avolta celebrated the opening of much-loved Dutch snack brand FEBO in Amsterdam Airport Schiphol. FEBO has been serving its popular snacks and fries in the Netherlands for 83 years, but today marks the first time the brand has opened a store at an airport in the Netherlands.

    Avolta proudly announces expanded contract with Norwegian Cruise Line: wins 4 new ships, boosts total presence to 18 ships

    Avolta, leading travel experience player, has been chosen as the main retail partner by Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL), expanding their presence across nearly the entire NCL fleet and strengthening the company’s cruise portfolio. The major cruise company has awarded Avolta new contracts on a total of four NCL ships as well as renewing its existing contracts for 14 NCL ships. Avolta is kicking off new contracts on Norwegian Viva, Norwegian Prima, Norwegian Star, and Norwegian Encore. In addition, Avolta has been tapped to serve as the retail partner for NCL’s next Prima Class newbuild, Norwegian Aqua, which is set to debut in 2025.

    Avolta receives Moody’s upgraded credit rating to Ba2 with Stable Outlook

    Avolta AG (SIX: AVOL), the leading global travel experience player, confirms its upgraded credit rating from Ba3 to Ba2 with Stable outlook according to Moody’s Investment Service announcement yesterday. The credit rating upgrade follows the successful closing of the business combination with Autogrill in 2023 as well as the company’s strong 2023 financial performance, the announcement of a balanced capital allocation policy and the solid trading environment in 2024.

    Avolta pilots partnership to measure CO2 footprint of its Dutch F&B offerings

    Avolta, the leading global travel experience player, is partnering with sustainability data experts HowGood and PS in Foodservice to pilot a new innovation to measure its carbon footprint within the Dutch supply chain. The pilot aligns with two key focus areas of Avolta’s recently-published ESG strategy: Create Sustainable Travel Experiences and Respect Our Planet. The initiative equips Avolta with a centralized platform to accurately calculate the carbon impact of ingredients used in its F&B stores in the Netherlands. Subsequently, Avolta can collaborate directly with partners across its local supply chain to devise a more sustainable approach to its operations.
