    Dufry/DFASS joint venture wins new concession in Colombia

    Dufry and DFASS have been awarded the operation of the duty-free shops at El Dorado International Airport, Bogota. The 10 years concession agreement signed with the airport operator, Opain S.A., will comprise close to 2,200 m2 of total retail space. El Dorado International Airport is the largest airport in Colombia and the main international and domestic air gateway in the country. With the new concession – Dufry adds a new market to its portfolio and DFASS expands their operations in Colombia – both companies further consolidate their strong presence in Latin America.

    Dufry with positive organic growth in Q3 and continued strong free cash flow generation in the first nine months of 2016

    Dufry's turnover increased by 39.4% in the first nine months and reached CHF 5,877.2 million. Pro-forma organic growth accelerated, thus reaching positive 1.3% in the third quarter of 2016. EBITDA was CHF 685.4 million, 34.9% higher compared to the first nine months of 2015, and free cash flow generation grew by 64.1% to CHF 535.7 million.

    Dufry wins tender and renews its concession at Guadeloupe Pộle Caraïbes

    Dufry announces it has won the tender for the duty free retail operations at Guadeloupe Pôle Caraïbes Airport and will be extending its existing concession contract until 2026 for duty free activities and 2021 for two convenience stores. With the win of this tender, Dufry will develop 5 new shops and almost double its retail space for a total of over 1,100 m2. The new shops will incorporate the latest design developments and deliver a world class airport shopping experience to over 1 million departing passengers that use Guadeloupe Pôle Caraïbes Airport each year.

    Dufry strongly increases its sales, EBITDA and free cash flow generation in the first half of 2016

    In a volatile first semester of 2016, turnover grew by 62.0% reaching CHF 3,610.9 million and EBITDA increased by 61.1% to CHF 381.3 million. Dufry also posted a strong cash generation, with free cash flow growing by 66% and reaching CHF 200.3 million. Pro-forma organic growth including WDF reached -1.6% in the half-year 2016.
