Dufry FY 2014 – solid results delivered based on execution and expansion plans

2014 was an important year for the development of Dufry. In addition to completing the acquisition of Nuance and the execution of important expansion and operational efficiency projects, the company delivered a strong financial performance. Turnover increased by 17.5% and reached CHF 4,196.6 million. EBITDA amounted to CHF 575.6 million with an EBITDA margin of 13.7% and of 14.2% excluding the Nuance consolidation.

Dufry exercises option to buy 20% from minority partner in Brazil

On 28^thJanuary, 2015, Dufry exercised its option to buy 20% of the equity of Dufry Lojas Francas (DLF) for a total amount of CHF 148 million from its minority partner Brasif Group. After the exercise of the option, Dufry holds 80% of DLF.

Change in the Group Executive Committee of Dufry

Dufry informs that Xavier Rossinyol, presently Chief Operating Officer of Region 1 EMEA & Asia and member of the Group Executive Committee of Dufry Group, will step down from his current position on April 1^st, 2015, and will continue his career outside Dufry Group.

Dufry joins the Hand in Hand for Haiti Student Sponsorship Program

Dufry is taking the initiative to join the Student Sponsorship Program launched by the Hand in Hand for Haiti Foundation (HIHH) by supporting children of an entire class of 25 students at the school complex “Lycée Jean-Baptiste Pointe du Sable” in Saint Marc north of the capital of Haiti, Port-au-Prince.

Dufry appoints Gustavo Magalhães Fagundes as new Chief Operating Officer of Region America II

Gustavo Magalhães Fagundes will join Dufry as Chief Operating Officer of Region America II as of 1 January, 2015. He succeeds Mr. Jose Carlos Rosa, who will leave his position on 31 December, 2014, after more than 9 years of successfully leading Brazil & Bolivia operations for a new role within Dufry.

Dufry to double its retail space to 8,000 square meters with concession contract at Tom Jobim International Airport in Rio de Janeiro

Dufry and RIOgaleão signed a concession contract to operate duty free retail at Tom Jobim International Airport in Rio de Janeiro. The new agreement will allow Dufry to double the current commercial area from 4,000 square meters to 8,000 square meters.

Dufry remains in growth mode

In the first nine months of 2014, Dufry's turnover grew by 12.4% in constant FX rates, through a combination of organic growth and the consolidation of The Nuance Group since September 2014. In absolute terms, turnover reached CHF 2,930.9 million and EBITDA reached CHF 414.4 million for the first nine months of 2014, generating an EBITDA margin of 14.1%. Free cash flow grew by 17.2% and reached CHF 273.8 million.
