    Dufry wins new duty-free and duty-paid contract at Felipe Ángeles International Airport in Santa Lucia, Mexico

    Dufry has been awarded two five-year concession contracts at the new Mexico City International Airport, Felipe Ángeles (AIFA) in Santa Lucia. Initially the contract will be to operate a commercial area of 652 m² with a mix of both duty-free and duty-paid shops. A further increase of retail space will be considered by AIFA in line with the growth of international and domestic passengers.

    Dufry extends duty-free concession for six years and increases retail space at Bali International Airport

    Dufry, leading global travel retailer, has successfully extended its duty-free concession at Bali’s I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport for another six years, which in 2019 welcomed 14 million travelers, and where Dufry has been operating since 2013. The new six-year contract also includes an increase in retail space of over 1,400 m2, thus extending the total sales area to over 3,600 m2, which will allow for the introduction of fashion and accessories as new categories.

    Dufry with strong recovery reporting Organic Growth of 53.2% and Adjusted Operating Profit of CHF 374.9 million

    Dufry’s full-year 2021 performance was characterized by a re-bound of travel, predominantly in the Western hemisphere. Turnover reached CHF 3,915.4 million, an Organic Growth of plus 53.2% as compared to the same period 2020, providing strong confidence in the overall recovery trend. Most notably, Dufry reported solid Equity Free Cash Flow of CHF -33.4 million for full-year 2021, representing a 73.4% conversion rate on incremental turnover 2020 to 2021.

    Dufry appoints Xavier Rossinyol as Chief Executive Officer as of June 1, 2022

    Julian Diaz, Chief Executive Officer and member of the Board of Directors of Dufry AG (Dufry), will step down from his position as Chief Executive Officer on May 31, 2022 and will not stand for reelection as a member of the Board of Directors at the 2022 AGM. Xavier Rossinyol has been appointed as new Chief Executive Officer of Dufry effective June 1, 2022. In order to ensure a smooth transition, Xavier will join as designated CEO and member of the Global Executive Committee on March 1, 2022.

    Leading global travel retailer Dufry, wins the tender of the duty-free and duty-paid concessions for eight years at Recife International Airport in Brazil, where it has been operating for more than 26 years. The airport, which is managed by Aena, welcomes almost 9 million passengers each year and operates domestic and international flights 24 hours a day, thus playing an important role in supporting the economy of the city and the entire Northeast Region of Brazil.

    Dufry defines SBTi based emission reduction targets to reach climate neutrality of its own operations by 2025

    Dufry, leading global travel retailer, has developed SBTi-based (Science Based Targets initiative) emission reduction targets to reduce its overall carbon emission footprint going forward. The reduction strategy covering Scope 1 and 2 emissions of its own operations follows SBTi’s 1.5°C pathway and aims at achieving climate neutrality by 2025. Additionally, Dufry will reduce Scope 3 emissions following SBTi´s well below the 2°C pathway through tight collaboration and engagement with brand partners and logistics service providers.

    Dufry launches global sustainable product identification initiative across 128 airports

    Dufry, leading global travel retailer, has launched a sustainable product identification initiative to help customers shop considerately. The initiative has been implemented across 171 shops across 128 airports including overall more than 550 products of all main duty-free categories and with local assortments being adapted to the specific needs of each location. The initiative is currently being setup also for the use in Dufry’s online Reserve & Collect channel.
