Dufry shareholders approve the change of the company name to Avolta AG

An Extraordinary General Meeting of Dufry AG was held today in Basel, Switzerland. At the meeting, the shareholders resolved to change the company name of Dufry AG to Avolta AG. A total number of 99,885,200 shares was represented, corresponding to 66.36% of the total share capital of Dufry AG.

Dufry, soon to be Avolta, announces strategic partnership with Hubei Airport Group as master concessionaire at Wuhan Tianhe Airport’s Terminal 2

Dufry – soon to be named Avolta – strengthens its market presence and underlines its confidence in the China market by forming a joint venture with Hubei Airport Group to operate the Wuhan Tianhe Airport’s Terminal 2 as master concessionaire – an airport with over 27 million passengers in 2019. Within the partnership, Dufry fully leverages its newly enhanced capabilities resulting from the Dufry-Autogrill business combination to showcase innovative travel retail, F&B, convenience and hybrid concepts, optimizing revenue generation and elevating the travel experience across a footprint of 77 stores and 13,000 m².

Dufry further increases financial flexibility, eliminates refinancing risk while continuing to focus on deleveraging

Dufry has successfully concluded the execution of the “Accordion” option for its current 2027-maturity Revolving Credit Facility (RCF) agreement. Based on strong interest from existing and new lending banks – teamed with long-standing Autogrill partners – Dufry achieved the maximum agreed increase, now securing access to EUR 2,750 million. Dufry maintains a well-balanced debt profile in regard to maturity, interest cost and flexibility with no refinancing risk in the near- and mid-term.
