The refurbishment spans four stores across Terminals 1 and 3, with the latest upgrades focused on Departures and Arrivals at Terminal 1, resulting in a premium walkthrough retail environment that is light-filled and immersive, reflecting Western Australia’s unique character.
At the heart of this transformation, and created exclusively for Perth Duty Free, is Avolta’s proprietary concept, Exploring. With packaging designed by a local artist to showcase Perth’s landmarks, the collection anchors a strong sense of place, featuring high quality products made from locally sourced Australian ingredients.
The stores design is inspired by the Six Seasons of the Noongar people, the Traditional Owners of the land on which Perth Airport sits. Designed by the Noongar people's Six Seasons, each season - Birak, Bunuru, Djeran, Makuru, Djilba and Kambarang is represented through six different sections in-store through imagery, color, light and materials, embedding an authentic sense of place.
Avolta’s suite of digitally enabled and experience-driven retail zones enhance the airport shopping journey. Standout concepts include Avolta’s signature Haute Parfumerie – Australia’s first, featuring a curated selection of niche fragrances; and the globally awarded World of Whiskies, offering an expansive range of premium expressions.
