Avolta Wins Significant Tender at John F. Kennedy International Airport — another large Contract Award of 2024 in North America

In partnership with JFK Millennium Partners, Avolta companies Hudson and Dufry will set a new standard for travel retail in North America through the development of more than 2,600 m² of reimagined space with an 18-year contract in JFK’s new, state-of-the-art terminal set to open in early 2026. Combined with earlier announced wins and renewals, this new win further strengthens Avolta’s leadership in the US travel retail and F&B market.

Avolta wins new ten-year contract, adds Manaus Airport to Brazil portfolio

Leading global travel experience player Avolta AG (SIX: AVOL) further extends its already significant footprint in Brazil, announcing a new ten-year contract at Manaus Airport. Avolta will operate four new stores across more than 1,000m² of duty-free and duty-paid space at the airport, which attracts over 2.8 million passengers annually, representing the addition of a critical new hub to Avolta’s network in Brazil.

Avolta delivers another set of strong results across all KPIs in 9M and will cancel 4% of its share capital

Avolta marks its 7^th consecutive quarter of strong growth in Q3, as it continues to successfully execute its Destination 2027 strategy. The company confirms its medium-term targets and will cancel approximately 6.1 million treasury shares (4% of issued share capital) in 2024 in line with its reinforced shareholder focused capital allocation policy.

Avolta successfully refinances its main bank facility

Avolta has successfully amended and extended its existing Revolving Credit Facility (RCF). The amended EUR 2,400 million RCF with maturity in 2029 replaces the EUR 2,750 million RCF expiring in 2027.

Avolta celebrates duty-free contract win at Turkey’s new Çukurova International Airport

Leading global travel experience player Avolta AG (SIX: AVOL) further extends its presence in Turkey, announcing its first duty-free contract win at the brand new Çukurova International Airport. Avolta will make travelers happier through a locally-inspired offering across its 1,000 m² duty free space within the Departures and Arrivals areas. Recently inaugurated in the southern province of Mersin in Turkey, the new airport services a range of domestic and international destinations, with a capacity of 9 million passengers, enhancing connectivity and supporting tourism and commercial activities in the area.

Avolta leverages regional economic slow-down to fast-track APAC strategy: enters into deal to acquire Free Duty, funded by cash on balance sheet with no impact to the deleveraging commitments

Avolta (AVOL: SIX), leading global travel experience player across retail and F&B, has entered into a deal to acquire 100% of Free Duty from NWS Holdings Limited (0659. HK), a conglomerate with a diversified portfolio of market-leading businesses predominantly in Hong Kong and the Mainland. The deal would see Avolta’s positioning significantly strengthened in the Asia Pacific (APAC) region, gaining access to 150 million travelers and increasing regional sales by CHF 250 million. The acquisition of Free Duty, a leading border travel retail operator in Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area, would lead towards an early delivery of Avolta’s Destination 2027 strategy in APAC, generating accelerated revenue growth at attractive margins. The closing of the transaction is subject to customary conditions precedent.
