Dufry extends its duty-free and duty-paid contracts at Belo Horizonte International Airport in Brazil

Dufry is pleased to confirm that it has extended its current duty-free contract at Belo Horizonte International Airport in Confins, operated by a partnership of CCR and Zurich Airport, for a further two years, through to 2029. In addition, a ten year contract has been awarded enabling Dufry to continue to operate its current portfolio of four duty-paid stores, including the Dufry Shopping and Hudson concepts and to also build a further three new duty-paid stores, one of which will be a 670 m² walkthrough store.

Dufry wins a four-year contract extension at Kuwait International Airport

Dufry is delighted to announce that it has extended by a further four years its current contract to operate the two duty-free stores in Terminal 1 at Kuwait International Airport. The airport, which is managed by the Kuwait Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), handles over 4 million passengers annually and is the gateway to the State of Kuwait.

Dufry successfully extends Heathrow concession contract for three years until 2029

Dufry has successfully extended its current Heathrow concession contract for three years until November 2029 to operate a total of 24 shops with a retail space of 13,000 m² across all terminals of Heathrow Airport. The Heathrow concession is the largest single location fully operated by Dufry and serves the 80.9 million passengers (2019 level), who travel through this leading hub for European and international travel. The extension reinforces Dufry’s strong position in the UK where it operates duty-free shops at 25 airports in total.

Dufry Reports Organic Growth of 144.5% and Increasing Sales Trends in First Quarter 2022

Dufry’s first quarter 2022 was characterized by continuous improvements during January and February, resulting in increasing sales trends in most regions globally from March onwards. Turnover reached CHF 1,118.6 million, an organic growth of 144.5% compared to the previous year. In the normally cash negative first quarter, Dufry’s Equity Free Cash Flow (EFCF) performed substantially better versus prior year and a historical first quarter comparison. EFCF progressed and came in at CHF -86.8 million in Q1 2022, compared to CHF -219.3 million in Q1 2021 and CHF -123.0 million in Q1 2019.

Results of Ordinary General Meeting of Dufry AG on May 17, 2022

The Ordinary General Meeting of Dufry AG was held at the offices of Dufry AG at Brunngässlein 12, 4052 Basel, Switzerland, on May 17, 2022 at 08:15 hrs. The meeting was held without the presence of shareholders based on Article 27 of the Ordinance 3 issued by the Swiss Federal Council on measures to prevent coronavirus (COVID-19) of June 19, 2020. The total number of shares represented at the meeting amounted to 57,582,071 shares (corresponding to 63.41% of the total share capital of Dufry AG); the meeting was validly convened and constituted. The Shareholders resolved as follows:

Dufry wins new duty-free and duty-paid contract at Sofia International Airport in Bulgaria

Dufry has been awarded a new eight-and-a-half-year concession contract at Sofia International Airport in Bulgaria to operate a total of thirteen shops, eleven of which will be duty-free and two of which will be duty-paid. Sofia Airport has selected Dufry following an international tender process.

Dufry today published the invitation to the Ordinary General Meeting 2022. The event will take place on May 17, 2022 at 08.15 CEST, at the offices of Dufry AG at Brunngässlein 12, 4052 Basel, Switzerland. The meeting will be held without the presence of shareholders based on Article 27 of the Ordinance 3 issued by the Swiss Federal Council on measures to prevent coronavirus (COVID-19) of June 19, 2020 (as amended). The shareholders of Dufry AG may exercise their rights at the Ordinary General Meeting exclusively through the Independent Voting Rights Representative.
