    Dufry wins tender and renews its concession at Guadeloupe Pộle Caraïbes

    Dufry announces it has won the tender for the duty free retail operations at Guadeloupe Pôle Caraïbes Airport and will be extending its existing concession contract until 2026 for duty free activities and 2021 for two convenience stores. With the win of this tender, Dufry will develop 5 new shops and almost double its retail space for a total of over 1,100 m2. The new shops will incorporate the latest design developments and deliver a world class airport shopping experience to over 1 million departing passengers that use Guadeloupe Pôle Caraïbes Airport each year.

    Dufry strongly increases its sales, EBITDA and free cash flow generation in the first half of 2016

    In a volatile first semester of 2016, turnover grew by 62.0% reaching CHF 3,610.9 million and EBITDA increased by 61.1% to CHF 381.3 million. Dufry also posted a strong cash generation, with free cash flow growing by 66% and reaching CHF 200.3 million. Pro-forma organic growth including WDF reached -1.6% in the half-year 2016.

    Dufry renews its concession at Zurich Airport and plans full renovation of its stores at the airport

    Dufry announces it has reached an agreement with Flughafen Zürich AG (Zurich Airport) to extend its concession contract until 2028. Dufry will also renovate its shops at the airport, implementing Dufry's New Generation Store. Zurich Airport is the largest airport in Switzerland and one of the largest in Europe. It received over 26 million passengers in 2015.

    Dufry successfully extends its concession at Cancun (Mexico) airport for 10 years

    Dufry has signed an agreement with Aeropuertos del Sureste (ASUR) for the extension of the Cancun airport concession in Mexico to operate duty-free and duty-paid shops at Terminal 2, 3 and 4 for another ten years. The contract at Cancun airport, which welcomes close to 20 million passengers per year, covers retail space of more than 6,000 m2, including approximately 1,500 m2 in the new Terminal 4, which is due to be opened in 2017. The renewed contract also includes the operations at Cozumel airport.

    Dufry extends duty-free and duty-paid contracts adding further retail space at Tom Jobim International Airport in Rio de Janeiro

    Dufry extends its contract with RioGaleão for duty-free to 2023 and for its duty-paid business until 2021 at Tom Jobim International Airport. The airport in Rio de Janeiro is the second largest hub in Brazil and a major getaway for Brazil and South America overall. In 2015, the airport welcomed a total of 17 million passengers, of which 4 million were international passengers.

    Dufry extends concession contracts with increased retail spaces at Guarulhos International Airport in Brazil until 2032

    Dufry and Guarulhos International Airport in São Paulo (GRU) have extended their agreement for the operation of duty-free and duty-paid retail spaces until 2032. Furthermore, Dufry will operate around 2,300 m2 of additional duty-paid retail space, including a Dufry Shopping megastore at Terminal 2. Guarulhos International Airport is the largest airport in South America and welcomed in 2015 a total of 39 million passengers, of which 25 million were domestic passengers.

    Dufry generates EBITDA of CHF 147 million and Net Cash Flow from Operations of CHF 119 million in the first quarter 2016

    Dufry had a good start into 2016 with a turnover growth of 60.0% reaching CHF 1,630.2 million and a further improvement of organic growth. Gross profit margin considerably improved by 110 basis points to 58.6% from 57.5%. EBITDA increased by 59.2% to CHF 146.5 million, maintaining the previous year's margin level of 9.0%. Cash flow from operating activities and free cash flow generation were both strong with CHF 118.9 million and CHF 78.8 million respectively, in the lowest quarter of the year. The World Duty Free integration is proceeding according to plan, and will remain a focus area for the year, along with the acceleration of organic growth, cash generation and deleveraging.
