09/04/2026
Avolta has officially launched Terracotta, its latest food and beverage operation at East Midlands Airport (EMA), part of MAG. Designed to support a relaxed, destination-led dining experience, the newest opening strengthens Avolta’s partnership with MAG and further expands its full F&B responsibility at the airport.

A proprietary Avolta restaurant concept, Terracotta offers a modern interpretation of classic Italian cuisine to EMA travelers, with seating for up to 185 diners across more than 650m2. Drawing its inspiration from Italy, the interior combines warm materials and contemporary design details to create an atmosphere aligned with leisure travel and longer dwell times. Featuring an open kitchen and central bar amongst the extensive seating area, the layout has been designed to cater to a broad passenger mix, from pre-flight dining to more casual bar-led visits.

Beth Brewster, Senior Coordinating Director F&B UK, Avolta comments, “Today marks the official opening of Terracotta, and we are delighted to bring this new Italian concept to East Midlands Airport. We are proud to now operate all food and beverage outlets across the airport, which reflects the strength of our partnership and our shared ambition to deliver a consistent, high-quality experience for travelers. I would like to thank the airport team for their collaborative approach and continued support, in bringing this latest opening to life.”

Adam Andrews, Commercial Director, East Midlands Airport, said: “The opening of Terracotta in our departure lounge marks an important milestone in our retail development strategy at East Midlands Airport, enhancing the strength and diversity of our food and beverage offer. By elevating the passenger experience and offering, we’re creating an environment that encourages customers to dwell longer and engage more deeply with our commercial partners. Our collaborative partnership with Avolta as our single food and beverage operator is central to delivering a consistent, high performing portfolio across the terminal, ensuring our commercial estate continues to grow in line with our long-term strategic ambition. This launch forms part of Avolta’s broader F&B portfolio strategy, focused on delivering high-quality concepts that respond to passenger profiles, support airport partners and enhance the overall travel experience.”
