Located landside on the departures level, Café Artois brings a distinctive Belgian experience to the start of the journey, offering a relevant meeting point before departure and connecting the airport environment with Belgium culture.
Café Artois has been designed with Stella Artois at the centre of the offer, alongside a curated selection of Belgian and local beers, the concept combines local relevance, efficient digital ordering and a welcoming bar setting where travelers and visitors can meet before departure. The food offer complements the experience with Belgian café classics, including croque monsieur, alongside selected sharing options and morning pastries.
Thibault Jouy, General Manager Avolta Belgium, said: “Café Artois is an example of how we bring local brands into the airport environment in a way that is relevant for travelers and commercially meaningful for our partners. We are strengthening the Belgian character of Brussels Airport while continuing to expand our footprint in the country.”
Michiel Arnouts, Brussels Airport Food & Beverage Manager, said: “With Café Artois, we are further strengthening the Belgian identity of our airport. As a showcase of Belgium for millions of travelers each year, we are delighted to create a place where passengers can enjoy an authentic Belgian beer that is also a global ambassador of our culture and hospitality. Café Artois offers the perfect setting to start a journey in style or to say farewell to friends and family.”
The opening is the latest addition to Avolta’s expanding footprint at Brussels Airport, where the company operates 35 food and beverage stores, and has 82 stores across Belgium.
